The threat of Islamist terrorism is, perhaps, the greatest threat the world has faced since the end of the Second World War. Islamists from the Islamic State, Al-Qaeda, or other affiliated groups focus on creating a caliphate based on the Unity of God and the principles of the Prophet by establishing Sharia (Islamic law), governed by the Qur'an, and the Sunna (the Prophet's sayings, oral transmission); in other words, they seek to implement concepts more closely aligned with the religious principles of Salafism (early Islam).<\/p>

This book broadly and thoroughly analyzes the modus operandi of Islamist terrorist groups (Islamic State and Al-Qaeda), the concept and historical background between both groups and their differences. It also examines their behavior on social networks and how they carry out their media campaign and use manipulative communication through magazines such as Dabiq, Rumiyah, or similar publications, demonstrating how these propaganda outlets have been reflected in the commission of various attacks \u2014 a key aspect for understanding the versatility of terrorist knowledge transmission.<\/p>
